Google Talk Chatback - Let Visitors to Your Website Chat with You

Google Talk logoGoogle launched a new Google Talk feature called Chatback that lets visitors to your web site chat with you. Chatback allows your visitors to chat with you, provided you're logged into Google Talk at the time.

To use Chatback, you must have a Google Talk account. You can create a Google Talk Chatback badge here, then copy and paste the code snippet into your blog or website. The live chat badge will display your online status (available, busy, offline) and optionally your status message. You can add your message, or just enter your nickname in your status message.

If you're available, people who visit your web page can just click and start chatting. It opens in a new window so they can keep chatting with you even if they browse to other pages. At the same time, you will be notified and asked whether you’d like to join the chat. Chatback uses the web-based Google Talk Gadget so your visitors don’t need to download or install anything. The live chat is one-to-one, and you can talk to more than one person at a time.
