According to TUAW, Pwnage Tool 2.0 still remain can't unlock an iPhone 3G at this moment. But iPhone 3G owners can still use Pwnage Tool 2.0 for activation and jailbreaking which run 3rd party apps not supported by Apple and the new iPhone App Store.
Meanwhile, PwnageTool 2.0 features lots of new features, including 2.0 support, spotlight file indexing of .ipsws, canned web searches, installer custom configuration, custom root partitions and various other things.
As of now the Pwnage Tool 2.0 only works on a Mac and supports the following devices and firmwares:
* iPhone (1st Gen) with 2.0: Activated, Unlocked & Jailbroken, (with support for third party applications).
* iPod Touch with 2.0: Activated & Jailbroken, (with support for third party applications).
* iPhone (3G) with 2.0: Activated, Jailbroken (with support for third party applications).
Meanwhile, Phone Dev Team has released video clips demonstrating PwnageTool 2.0 in action.

Update : Pwnage Tool 2 has been update to version 2.0.1 which resolve some minor error.
